Foggy Bottom Dispensary and Tree House DC Open

Tree House TreeHouse DC brings the Reggio Emilia approach to education – inspired by nature and the child’s innate sense of wonder. The children are encouraged to explore their surroundings and become stewards of the land, while being taught to respect our fragile environment.

Stymied by a federal stalemate, DC’s going-out scene gets a boost tonight with the simultaneous openings of two distinct lounges: one downtown (Grazie Mille) and the other five stories up in the Union Market district (TreeHouse DC). Both are fresh replacements for older dining spots, and happen to be both infused with cannabis and open to I-71 customers.

Cultivating Community: Foggy Bottom Dispensary with TreeHouse DC

The intimate jungle sanctuary elevated in the sky is a soaring oasis of exotic escapes featuring internationally influenced bites, imaginative cocktails and electrifying DJ sets — all ensconced among cascading greenery on the roof of a historic building. Channeling Tulum’s lush landscape and nightlife culture, this open-air retreat features panoramic city views through a rainforest canopy. It’s an exotic escape full of flavor and fanfare — all in a space that grows organically from the rebranded Union Market Hotel.

It’s worth noting that while recreational use and possession of marijuana is now legal in DC, sales and large-scale production remain verboten — even if it’s perfectly fine to give away gummy ’n’ spliff gift bags, which is what many I-71 operations end up doing. And while robbery waves marked by gunfire and killings have hit cannabis shops in the Bay Area and Seattle, DC’s Alcoholic Beverage Regulation Administration hasn’t yet noticed a spike in crime around the city’s seven legal pot stores.
