Whether at home, school or work, netball court contractors can help to encourage children and adults to engage in physical activity. This is especially important in an age where childhood obesity is on the rise, but it’s also great for team bonding and improving social skills through team sports. A well-maintained netball court is safer for players and helps to promote an enjoyable and rewarding game of the sport. Regular maintenance and resurfacing helps to reduce the risk of damage, improve the aesthetic appearance of the surface, and prevent injuries caused by abrasions and falls on an uneven or worn-out surface.
Resurfacing a netball court is an affordable option for owners, and will provide an immediate improvement to the quality of play on the surface. This is achieved by replacing the top layer of the surfacing with an acrylic coating that has been colour-coated to Netball 75 grip standards and professional line markings.
Eco-Friendly Options for Netball Court Construction
We were approached to carry out a full netball facility construction project at Charterhouse School, one of the UK’s leading independent boarding and day schools in Surrey. As part of a wider sports development programme on their impressive 250-acre campus, Charterhouse had a requirement for a new netball court and tennis courts to support co-educational PE in both girls and boys.
As part of the overall netball construction project, specialist rebound fencing and outdoor floodlighting were installed to enhance the sporting experience. This allows the facility to be used for evening matches and training sessions, generating extra revenue.
